Posted 11/01/2019 This gorgeous Rally Red 1966 Chevrolet Corvette is a perfect example, why? Carrying with it the original numbers matching drivetrain and an iconic factory color combination of Rally Red on black vinyl interior, this Corvette never stops impressing! It starts with the body that is covered in a gorgeous shade of Rally Red. The paint is in excellent shape just like the chrome on the car. We are unsure when someone painted it, but they clearly knew what they were doing because it looks great. Someone has replaced all the window moldings and the top is in great shape. Inside the engine bay you'll find the original numbers matching 327/350hp V8 that looks cleaner than most small block Corvettes we've seen. The original block is stamped with the correct HT suffix code and the correct six digit partial VIN. Bolted to the engine is the original numbers matching 4-speed manual transmission as well. The power steering is a welcome addition for taking the car to your local cruise in. The engine fires up easily and has not shown us any major drips or leaks. Inside the interior appears just the way it left the factory. Although to simply glance over it, you might miss the fact that special care was taken to have everything working. All the gauges work like they are suppose to and the black vinyl seats are in great shape. Ultimately, the interior shows extremely well and doesn't need anything and your hands will feel right at home on the teakwood steering wheel. DOES IT WORK?
